Description
If the supercritical flow is fully aerated at the toe of jump in a steep smooth sloping channel, the jump with a large downstream depth is formed on the slope because of the buoyant effect of air-bubble with small diameter. In the case of this photograph, the angle of the channel slope is 55 degrees and the inflow Froude number defined from a clear water depth is around 9. The flow condition was found in accordance with the research project of Nihon University, College of Science and Technology and the experiment was conducted in Environmental Hydraulic Laboratory of Nihon University (College of Science and Technology.
