Description
Research Habitat Restoration Center ARRC, Gifu, Japan (Photograph on the 30 March 1999) - The ARRC laboratory includes 3 parallel 800-m long channels (slope from upstream to downstream: 1/300, 1/800, 1/300). Artifical flooding (i.e. discharge) is controlled by a series of flap gates at the upstream end. Real fishs swim up and down the river systems. An example of bank erosion test section.
